What started as a project for fire and life safety improvements quickly became a complete renovation to this historic government building. Lighting upgrades throughout had to meet current illumination standards and be energy efficient, yet stay inconspicuous and respect the historic nature of all room surfaces. Highlights of the lighting design include exterior illumination of the center dome, interior illumination of the main rotunda, careful architectural integration in the Senate Chamber, and custom fixture design throughout the building.
